Each spring the North Carolina Utility Contractors Association convenes at a coastal venue to tend to its organizational business, enhance the common body of knowledge, network with vendors and colleagues and refresh the soul after a long and hard-working winter. Members, guests, and employees of members and prospective members are invited to participate in the educational sessions and networking events.

Carolina Beach is home to a variety of family-oriented attractions, including Ft. Fisher State Historic Site and the North Carolina Aquarium and many other attractions in nearby Wilmington.

NCUCA is again a co-sponsor of the Association Executives of North Carolina Opening Night Legislative Reception for members of the General Assembly, members of the Council of State, members of the State Judiciary and other high-ranking State officials. The bi-annual event is held on the first night of the Legislative Session and serves to emphasize the role professional and trade associations have in providing information to policy-makers and welcoming new members of the General Assembly and other elected officials to Raleigh.  The AENC Legislative Reception will be held at the new Raleigh Convention Center on Wednesday, January 28.
